First I would like to share with you our experience.  Many residents who tested positive had little or no symptoms.  Then others did not survive the infection.  People can be infected and contagious with out even knowing it.  Takeaway here is to please follow the CDC and Health Department guidelines such as no group activities, keep 6 feet apart should you need  to get outside or go shopping.  Use hand sanitizer after touching anything someone else has touched such as money, door handle etc.  Don’t touch your face.  And wash your hands vigorously for 20 seconds.

Suites Assisted Living

Today we have no positive cases of the virus in the suites. There are no pending tests outstanding.  We continue to monitor residents temp daily and monitor for any signs and symptoms of elevated temps, cough or breathing problems. All employees are screened daily and wear a mask at all times.  We continue to self-quarantine with no group dining, no group activities, no visitors.  Thank you for  being patient.  I know this is hard.

Nursing Home

Residents who tested positive and have symptoms are still quarantined to a designated hallway.  Staff who work on this unit are scheduled to work only on this unit.  We have a few tests outstanding.  Getting Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and test kits has been really difficult.  Thankfully recent focus to provide care givers this PPE access to test kits has improved due to recent Federal help.

All infection control procedures are still in place.
