Josephine partnered with Katie Walton at Red Barn Art Studio to teach our residents how to create mixed-media collages. The collages reflect what is important and meaningful in the lives of our residents: life stories distilled to images and embellishments accompanied by brief statements.

The SCAF “Floyd & Delores Jones Endowed Fund” seeks to create a healthy and sustainable Stanwood & Camano Island community. Displaying our residents’ collages at the Meyer Art Festival was an important component of this goal.

We hope our neighbors will perceive our residents not as passive recipients of care but rather active contributors to the artistic expressions and life stories that abound in the Stanwood-Camano Island community.
