Quality is important in the Suites, Josephine Transitional Rehab, Josephine Care Center and Josephine at Home.  We strive daily for quality in delivery of care at the bedside.  After all, we are here to provide care for those who cannot care for themselves.  Quality to me is demonstrated in outcomes and begins upon admission.  The primary question I am always concerned with is: Are our residents as happy, healthy, and safe as possible?

Everyone ages differently.  To understand the needs of each resident, we assess each resident upon admission, quarterly and when they have a change in condition.  The individualized plan of care is designed to meet the special needs of each resident.  And when the Josephine team provides quality care according to the Plan of Care, the quality of life of our residents is at the highest level possible.   Every member of the team is involved.  From the housekeeping staff who clean the rooms, the licensed nurses and nursing assistants and dietary staff who provide home cooked meals.

Quality does not end with our seniors and residents in long-term care, rehabilitation, memory care or assisted living.  Quality of education for our children in Early Learning is equally important.  Josie’s Learning Center is an accredited member of the Early Achievers program.   Extra training for Josie’s teachers is constantly improving the quality of learning for the children in our care.

I can’t say enough about the Josephine Caring Community team.  To provide quality services, we must have quality staff.  Hiring, training and maintaining    capable, dedicated people to carry out quality care and learning is of utmost importance.  Managing a workforce of 285 team members is not always easy, but worth the effort.  After all, it is the people who make up the Josephine Caring Community Team who provide quality services to those individuals of all ages  entrusted to Josephine’s care.
