We are pleased to announce that Josephine Caring Community, Skilled Nursing has been given clearance to begin admitting patients that have tested negative for COVID19.  We are proceeding with an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of our current residents and any new residents.  We will be limiting admissions to one admit per day.  The referrals/admits will be screened carefully to ensure all needs are met.  Patients will then be on a 14-day quarantine with droplet precautions to ensure no signs or symptoms of COVID19 are present during the possible incubation window. During this 14-day quarantine period, they will still receive Therapies, Activities, and Dining in their rooms no group settings. After 14 days, Residents that do not present with symptoms will then be able to join our main population and be moved off our quarantine unit.

No Visitors are currently allowed, our Activities Department does have Zoom, Facetime, Etc. set up for families to meet with their loved ones.

Beginning Monday 7/6/2020 we will resume resident group activities with the following limitations:

  • Groups of no more than 9 Residents
  • Include only residents that have no symptoms of illness and/or are COVID-19 negative
  • Maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet apart
  • Hand Hygiene- Residents must wash their hands before leaving their rooms
  • Masks-Residents must wear a cloth mask when out of their rooms

Group activities will take place in the chapel or other designated gathering place.

Activities will be held for different units on different days of the week as determined by the Activity Department.

We thank you in advanced for your understanding and cooperation during this time as we work as a community to keep patients cared for and safe.
