4.24.2020 – Family and Community COVID-19 update for Josephine Caring Community:

Josephine Caring Community staff has been working very hard to protect and continue to keep our loved ones and family members safe.

Nursing Home
As of April 21, 2020, we have ZERO active cases in the facility. Josephine Skilled Nursing has tested 54 patients, and 4 patients were tested off site. Total of 58 residents that were tested, since the start of the COVID pandemic. We had 20 total positive cases and 38 negative cases. We have ZERO pending/outstanding tests currently. We have had 15 residents recover and 5 residents that passed away. Please remember them and their families in your prayers. We continue to assess residents for symptoms of the virus. We continue to serve resident meals in their rooms and have no group activities.

The Suites Assisted Living
There are no active cases in the Suites today. We continue to assess residents for symptoms of the virus. We continue to serve resident meals in their rooms and have no group activities.

Josephine at Home
There are no active cases of COVID-19 on client list currently. We are still seeing patients and continue to follow all CDC and Snohomish Health District protocols to keep all our clients safe.

Josie’s Learning Center Childcare
We continue to provide childcare for our employees, families with healthcare workers and first responders. No childcare is being provided in the nursing home. Montessori and Early Education and Advancement Program schools are closed.

Visiting/Admissions
We are still in lockdown. Sorry but still no visitors or new admissions are being allowed. We do have the ability to Skype. You may leave a request to Skype with your loved one by calling the receptionist. Each room has a telephone. The receptionist can transfer your call.

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
We have a low but sufficient amount of protective gear in the facility. Staff are not going without PPE. All staff are wearing procedure masks when in the nursing home and assisted living. We are taking measures to extend the life of our PPE supply such as sanitizing goggles according to CDC guidelines.
