Our brand-new memory neighborhood was created for individuals with moderate to late-stage memory loss. We carefully designed it for a person-centered approach to care.

Having a loved one with memory loss is an unsettling experience for any family. The time comes when they will need more support and care than you can provide. Take comfort in knowing the people who will serve them will do so with dignity, compassion and love.

Memory Care at Josephine provides a nurturing, therapeutic environment filled with gentle routines, familiar comforts, compassionate support, and secure, around-the-clock care. The compassionate and caring members of our team are experts in understanding the unique needs of those with Alzheimer’s disease and all other forms of dementia. Our long tenured professionals also have personal connections to memory loss.

“For a lot of people with dementia, the environment is a problem. Josephine Memory Care is designed to truly be the resident’s home. Through the front door, there’s the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The bedrooms are down the hall. It’s very familiar to the resident.”

– Architect John Shoesmith on designing for memory care residents

Jennifer Kitchens explains why Memory Care here is so different

Through consistent one-on-one time with trusted caregivers, residents can form meaningful relationships that offer emotional reassurance, anxiety reduction, stability, and a deep sense of being known and cared for. Memory Care at Josephine focuses on the well-being of both the resident and family, engaging residents in safe and therapeutic activities while giving family members the support they need, too.
